Roland Krisjans
I was born in 1966 in Riga, Latvia.
In 1984 I finished J. Rozenthals art school in Riga. In 1993 I graduated from Latvian Art Academy with degree in monumental and decorative painting under the management of I. Zarins.
I work in oil technique in different genres, the most common being landscape and marine art, flowers, portraits, city landscapes and figural composition. As a special genre I began my work on a number of works called “Silent cities”. In these paintings special attention is paid to textures, colours and general mood. Other than that I have painted abstract paintings. Also I work on painting restoration and interior decoration.
